This Thursday I rode downtown, wrapped up my Panasonic in a rain-sheet-cover and entered the Hankyu Railway to go on trip to Osaka’s #1 Track Bike Shop Gira Gira Chariya! I am finally getting a set of brakes for my Panasonic, which even includes getting the fork professionally drilled at a local builder and swapping one or two parts.
I was lucky to meet most of the Gira Gira staff at the shop, some are old friends and some are completely new faces, such as Fuku Chan. His super-vibrant Anchor was parked outside, when we arrived at the shop! I’ve seen it before on the internet, but had to wait until today to see the paint-job in person.
I really like how he managed such an unobtrusive brake set up, down to personally drilling his handlebar and frame to carry the cable-housings for a clean look.

You can see this, and more photos of his bike at Gira Gira Chariya’s builds!
