I am back from Ishinomaki, hello again!

Filmmaker Paul Johannessen had been up in Ishinomaki in November last year, and shot this thought-provoking short-documentary about the victims of the tsunami of March 11th, 2011. I had posted this videosome time ago on my facebook profile, but didn’t get around putting this up here, yet.
The video shows people and places I have met or visited myself, such as Fujita-san from Watanoha, Ishinomaki. In fact, on my recent second trip up to Ishinomaki one of the members of Then and Now, Jeffrey Jousan picked us up with his car in the middle of the night, while we were trying to find the new base of INJM somewhere in Watanoha! I didn’t expect this friendly guy, who yelled out of his car: “Hey, you don’t happen to be looking for It’s not just mud?” to be part of the crew behind “Then and Now”. Even more so I didn’t find out about it, until I was back here in Kyoto and decided to finally blog about this video. Funny. Thank you, Then and Now, and thank you Jeffrey for the short ride back to the INJM base!
